Life’s Too Short for Bad Hair Days!

This project is designed for an upscale hair studio, offering more than just a standard price and services list. In addition to these essentials, users will have the ability to schedule appointments with their preferred hairstylists, ensuring a personalized and luxurious experience.

User Research

As a guy, the hair salon and beauty industry feel a bit foreign to me—I usually just go to my neighborhood barber for a quick cut. To bridge that gap, I researched potential users and their needs for a hair studio website. Existing salon sites often just list services and prices, but is that really enough? Since I'm designing a new website without any analytics yet, I’m relying on industry research, consumer trends, and surveys to inform my UX decisions. Below are key findings and my design solutions for each insight.

Key Findings

All organic products should be labelled
and have their own category

· Since hair salons are brick-and-mortar business, the salon's location and business hours are crucial.
Proposed Design Solution:
Add a map of the salon's location and business address and hours just before the footer. This section should appear on every page.

The hair salon’s address and booking of appointment should be on the sticky top nav bar. A map and business information should be on every page, just before the footer.

User Flow

Below is a user-flow I did for the booking appointment feature.

User Story

To communicate product requirements to all team members, I made a user story.
Every feature to what the user can do on the website will be listed here.
The user story will change as the project evolves. All user stories will be kept together with the product backlog.
